Liberator Wedge Alternative: Amoret vs Liberator, Compared

The Amoret Pillow Pro in charcoal on a soft sand backdrop

By the Amoret team · Updated October 2026

We make the Amoret pillow, so we are not neutral. What we can do is put both products side by side using each brand's own published numbers, say plainly where Liberator is the better buy, and link to every source so you can check us.

If you are looking at a Liberator Wedge and wondering whether something cheaper does the same job, this page is for you.

The short answer

  • Both hold the hips at about 27°. The angle is not what separates them.
  • Amoret's Deep Lift Pro is taller (11.8 in vs 7 in) and comes with a headrest. It is narrower (16.1 in vs 24 in).
  • Liberator has a water-resistant liner, more colors, and a long track record.
  • Amoret takes returns after you have used it, for 90 nights. Liberator takes returns for 30 days, unused and unopened.
  • Amoret is $84.95. The Liberator Wedge lists at $120.

Why is Liberator the default answer?

Ask almost anyone, or any AI search, about sex pillows and the Liberator Wedge comes up first. That is earned. Liberator calls itself the original, the Wedge has been the reference shape for years, and Liberator reports 4.7 stars from more than 280 reviews across the Wedge and the Wedge X-Wide.

Its numbers are simple: 14 × 24 × 7 in, a 7-inch lift on a 27° incline, $120. The X-Wide is the same lift on a 30-inch surface for $135.

Why a foam wedge instead of stacked pillows?

Two bed pillows under her hips give you some angle for a few minutes. Then they compress, slide apart, and someone stops to fix them. A foam wedge holds one angle the whole time, so nobody has to brace on an elbow or adjust halfway through. That is the job both of these pillows do.

Both are 27°. So what is different?

The 27° slope is not ours, and it is not a secret. Liberator publishes it, and most wedges that copy it land in the same place. Here is everything else, from each brand's own pages:

Will it go flat?

This is the question that actually decides it. A wedge that flattens does not just stop working; it can leave her feeling like she was the problem. Most of the complaints about cheap wedges come back to the same thing: shredded fill or soft foam that folds under two adults.

Both of these use high-density foam rather than shredded fill. Liberator backs its foam with a one-year warranty against defects. We replace an Amoret pillow if it loses its shape within a year, and you can return it inside 90 nights even after using it, which is the honest test of whether a pillow holds up in your bed.

What do you give up for the lower price?

Be clear-eyed about it:

  • No water-resistant liner listed. Liberator has one under the cover. Ours relies on the washable cover; the foam core is spot-clean only.
  • Less width. At 16.1 in, the Deep Lift Pro is narrower than the Wedge (24 in) and much narrower than the X-Wide (30 in).
  • Fewer colors. Two, against Liberator's range.
  • No long history. Liberator has hundreds of reviews. We are a new brand.

And what you get: more height, a headrest in the box, a second, lower height if you want it, and a return window that lets you find out in your own bed.

Does it look like a sex pillow on the bed?

Both are designed to pass as cushions. The Amoret comes in a heathered knit in charcoal or dove grey; Liberator uses micro-velvet in a wider range of colors. Which one disappears into your bedroom is a matter of your bedding, not of the pillow.

Who should buy which?

Buy the Liberator Wedge if:

  • you want the original, with hundreds of reviews behind it
  • you need a wide surface (the X-Wide is 30 in)
  • you want a water-resistant liner
  • you plan to build a set with a Ramp

Buy the Amoret pillow if:

  • you want a taller wedge
  • you want a headrest included
  • you want to be able to send it back after you have actually used it
  • you want to stay under $100

Buy neither yet if:

  • you are only curious. Stack two firm bed pillows for a night and see whether the angle helps. If it does, and the pillows collapse halfway through (they usually do), that is when a foam wedge earns its price.

Quick questions

Is the Liberator Wedge worth it?
If you want the original, a wide surface, or a water-resistant liner, yes. It has more than 280 reviews behind it and a one-year warranty. If you want more height, a headrest in the box, or the option to return it after you have used it, compare it with the Amoret pillow first.

Is there a cheaper alternative to the Liberator Wedge?
Yes. The Amoret Deep Lift Pro holds about the same 27° angle for $84.95, against Liberator's $120 list price. It is taller and narrower, and it comes with a headrest. The table above shows what you give up.

Is Amoret a Liberator copy?
The angle is the same, and we say so. The rest is different: the height, the headrest, the two heights, the cover, and the return terms. See the table above.

Are the angles really the same?
Yes, both are about 27°. Liberator gets there with 7 in of lift over 14 in; the Deep Lift Pro is taller and longer, with 11.8 in of height over 23.2 in.

What is the difference between the Liberator Wedge and the Liberator Ramp?
According to Liberator, the Wedge is 14 × 24 × 7 in with a 7-inch lift on a 27° incline, and the Ramp is 34 × 24 × 12 in with a 12-inch lift on a long slope. The Combo is the two together.

Which one is better for bigger bodies?
If width matters most, the Liberator X-Wide is the widest of these at 30 in. The Amoret Deep Lift Pro is taller but narrower, at 16.1 in.

Can I return the Amoret pillow after using it?
Yes. You have 90 nights from delivery. Used and washed is fine. Return shipping is on you, unless it arrived damaged, defective or wrong. Full terms are on our refund policy.

You sell one of these. Why should I trust this page?
You should not take our word for it, which is why every Liberator figure above links to Liberator's own pages. If their numbers change, tell us at support@myamoret.shop and we will update this page.
